Disney is magical—but let’s be real, it can also be expensive. That’s why I love finding the little pockets of pixie dust that don’t cost a dime. As a mom of four (ages 13, 5, 3, and 1), I’ve learned that a few smart freebies can save big and keep everyone a lot happier.

In our latest Planes, Trains & Strollers episode, I’m sharing 7 hidden Disney freebies that helped us stretch our budget and add a little more magic to our trip—without swiping the card again and again.

1️⃣ Free Ice Water

Skip the bottled water price tag—walk up to any Quick Service counter and ask for a cup of free ice water. Bring a refillable bottle and stay hydrated all day long (your wallet will thank you).

2️⃣ Celebration Buttons

Is it your first trip? Birthday? Just here for the snacks?
Grab a free celebration button at Guest Services or your resort check-in. Cast Members and even characters love to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust when they see it!

3️⃣ Baby Care Centers

These are hands-down my favorite hidden gem in the parks. Each park has a Baby Care Center with:

• Quiet nursing rooms
• Toddler-size toilets
• Changing tables
• Free filtered water
• Low-cost baby essentials like diapers and wipes

Perfect for regrouping, especially with littles in tow.

4️⃣ Ask a Photographer to Use Your Phone

Disney’s PhotoPass photographers will happily take a picture of your family using your own phone—just ask!
Even better? Fellow guests are usually more than happy to return the favor if you snap theirs too.

5️⃣ Free Live Entertainment

You don’t need a Lightning Lane to catch an amazing show. Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond, and seasonal Villains shows are all included with your park ticket—no extra cost required.

6️⃣ Festival Samples

During EPCOT festivals, Cast Members sometimes offer free samples outside the food booths. It’s not guaranteed, but when it happens, it’s a fun little win (and lets picky eaters test before you spend).

7️⃣ Wilderness Explorers at Animal Kingdom

Turn Animal Kingdom into a free adventure game! Pick up a Wilderness Explorers field guide and complete kid-friendly activities around the park to earn sticker badges—education meets magic!
